If you’re not certain of going to Heaven, you can be. Here are three things the Bible says about it.

1. You’re a sinner and the penalty is death.

Face it. I’m a sinner. You’re a sinner. Everyone is a sinner.
Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
We have missed the mark of perfection and fallen short of the target. You don’t have to be good to go to Heaven – you have to be perfect. The penalty of our sin is death. You don’t owe God money, baptism, church membersip, good works, or promises to do better. You owe a death penalty.
Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death…”

2. Jesus paid your price!

The penalty of your sin is death. Jesus died. Get it? He was your substitute. When He died on the cross, He was paying for every rotten sin of your life. He died for you. He loved you that much. 3 Days later He rose from the dead to prove that He was Savior. God was totally satisfied with the death penalty that Jesus paid for your sin.
Romans 5:8 says, “But God commendeth His love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

3. You can have everlasting life by believing in Him.

John 3:16 says , “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Believing in Christ means to trust or rely upon Him fully. Won’t you do this now? Don’t trust in church, baptism, money or good works. Trust in Jesus.
Ephesians 2:8, 9 says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Believe in Jesus right now and God will give you everlasting life as a gift. You can then be certain of going to Heaven whenever you die.
Did you understand the Gospel for the first time? Was it made clear to you for the first time that belief in Christ alone is all that is necessary to go to Heaven? Romans 11:6 says, “And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.” Grace is undeserved, unearned. Christ paid the entire debt for us. You don’t have to pay any of it yourself.  Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
